Xmas party

The Christmas party took place in Shibuya.

Food, drinks, singing, and videoconference with Jon S. Von Tetzchner, nice office party.

We were told to dress up , or get X-mas related costumes.

I ended up with a reindeer headset, which fit me surprisingly well.

yeah I know, I have a cigarette, sorry mom. The best costume was definitely David's , who came up as "Tony Tony Chopper" ( a humanoid reindeer character from the manga "One piece" ), then scoring both for the Christmas spirit & The japan spirit (and also pure awesomeness ).

Then, some colleagues brought me to a ladies bar. Now I know what you're thinking, so just stop just here : ladies bars seem to take several forms in Japan, and are not inevitably strip-clubs or dodgy places of prostitution.
- Or maybe I didn't stay long enough to find out :-)
In this case, in the very small bar we were in, the bunny-girls do the talk to "salarymen" or group of guys like us while we are drinking. It sounds a bit nerdy but really, why not.

- Yep I got the bunny headset :-)

On my way to the bar & back on my way home, I wore the reindeer headset, and got much handshakes, smiles, compliments etc. So next time you want to meet people in Tokyo, no need to dress nice and go anywhere special, just wear a headset and you're done.
